The Wonder Ball Michael Moscon, Jr., Toronto, Ont., Canada, recently bowled his first perfect game just two days after purchasing his first Brunswick ball, the C•(System)3.5. Michael, age 17, is an avid bowler and has been bowling for six years. He scored his first 300 game, with a ball he has proclaimed his “Wonder Ball,” at Woodbridge Bowl in Woodbridge, Ont. Michael continues to have great success with his C•(System)3.5. Wichita State Delivers Two Perfect Games and the Win at Blue Gold Classic Josh Blanchard (left) with the Evil Siege by Brunswick, and John Szczerbinski (right) with the Rattler, of Wichita State University, both shot 300 games at the Blue Gold Classic at Chippewa Lanes in South Bend, Ind. Lifelong Dream Comes True Bob Kolbe (pictured left), of Superior, Wisc., recently achieved his lifelong dream of bowling a perfect game and he accomplished it with his C•(System) 2.5 by Brunswick. First 800 Series with Newest Brunswick Release Don Granda, Jr., recently bowled the first 800 series with the Evil Siege by Brunswick. Granda bowled an 833 (269, 300, 264) during the Wednesday Nighter’s League at Lakeside Lanes in Conneaut Lake, Penn. Don drills his own equipment at Lakeside Lanes. Stefanie Nation Captures 2nd Title Brunswick Pro Staff member, Stefanie Nation, captured the women’s title at the Earl Anthony Memorial at Earl Anthony Dublin Bowl. The win marks her second PBA Women’s Series title. Nation, who used the Brunswick Diamondback, earned $10,000 and the final berth in the PBA Women’s Series Showdown presented by BOWL.COM. The Showdown will be conducted in April at the new United States Bowling Congress International Training and Research Center in Arlington, Tex., which has Brunswick lanes and equipment. Malin Glendert goes for a Three-Peat with her new C·(System)3.5™ ! With a strong performance throughout the tournament Brunswick Regional Staff player, Malin Glendert, won the VBS Ladies Tour 2009 title. The win marked her third consecutive victory in this prestigious event. Glendert, one of Sweden’s and Europe’s top female bowlers, Malin used the C•(System) 3.5 ball from Brunswick during the entire tournament. The VBS Ladies Tour is the biggest bowling tour for ladies in all of Scandinavia and consists of six tournaments. The tour is supported by Brunswick and VBS Bowling AB, the official Brunswick distributor in Sweden. Congratulations from the Brunswick Team
Ben Hoefs, pro shop owner and operator of King Pin Pro Shop inside King Pin Lanes in West Bend, Wisc., recently shot a 300 and also won a senior division tournament with a Siege. Ben, who drills his own equipment, was top seed in the Burlington, Wisc., singles tournament at Town N Country Lanes, and shot a shot a 289 to win. Mike Tryniski, Brunswick regional staff member, recently scored big with Brunswick at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton, N.Y. He shot the first 800 series with the newest release by Brunswick, the C•(System) 3.5, right out of the box. He also scored a perfect game with the Wild Thing and an 802 series with the C•(System) 2.5 including another 300. “Chins” as he’s known to his fellow bowlers, is averaging a 244 this season with Brunswick equipment. Dustin Kimmes bowled his fifth 300 and his first 800 with an 812 series at Farmington Lanes in Farmington, Minn., recently, after attending a Brunswick seminar and a coaching session with bowling legend, Carmen Salvino. Not only was this the first time Dustin used the C•(System) 2.5. in sanctioned competition, but he started out with 20 strikes in a row! Congratulations from the Brunswick Team
Kevin Smith has enjoyed quite a bit of success with his C•(System) 2.5. In a six week period, Kevin posted two 800 series (824 & 803) along with two 300 games and a 299. All the scores were posted at ABC West Lanes in Mechanicsburg, Penn., where Kevin is the head mechanic. Brunswick regional staff member, Dave Beres, recently qualified for an exemption for the next PBA Pro Tour season. Beres was eligible to bowl in the Regional Players Invitational at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno where eight Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour exemptions were up for grabs. The 2009 Malaysia Milo International Junior All Stars Championship recently crowned the Women’s and Men’s champs. The Women’s champion was Esther Cheah from Malaysia, who used the C•(System) 2.5 in qualifying and the Siege in the televised finals, winning 17,000RM (approx $6,000 U.S). Aris Ardila, also from Malaysia and used the C•(System) 2.5 to shoot the first 300 game in the finals, won the Men’s tournament taking home 50,000RM (approx $17,500 U.S). More than 550 bowlers representing Australia, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the 12 states of Malaysia, participated in the tournament. Brunkor Amateur staff member, Hong Hae-Sol, recently became the champion of the Men's Masters and Trios & Team & All Events, earning a total of four gold medals in the 5th East Asian Games 2009 in Hong Kong. In the all-Korean finals between Hong Hae-Sol and challenger Kim Jea Hoon, the top seed started off well with a turkey and despite an open frame in the fourth, Hong finished the match with 246 for a 23-pin margin over Kim's 223. Throughout the tournament, the champion used his brand-new C• (System) 2.5 and the Rebel Overcome, to achieve his high scores. Congratulations from the Brunswick Team
Brunswick staffer, Brenda Edwards, captured first place at the recently concluded 2010 USBC Team USA Trials, crowning her the National Amateur Champion. Brenda averaged just over 219 for the event, with most of the success from using her new Wild Card. Once the lanes transitioned during play, she was able to make the perfect switch to her new Diamondback. This win culminates a fantastic season for Edwards in which she was also part of the winning duo claiming the 2009 USBC Doubles title earlier in the year in Las Vegas. Korean bowler Kwon Young Cheon rolled the highest score during the 7th Brunswick Korea Challenge Cup and won the championship with the C•(System) 2.5. This year’s Brunswick Korea Challenge Cup was held at the Anyang Bowling Center, Gyeonggi, South Korea and was sponsored by Brunswick Korea distributor, Brunkor. Among the 270 bowlers who entered the qualified section, divided into three squads, Kwon became the champion with a score of 235 in his final match. Congratulations from the Brunswick Team
Hong Hae Sol, Brunswick Korea Brunkor amateur staff, triumphed in the 5th East Asian Games 2009 recently held in Hong Kong, winning four gold medals of Masters Men, All Events Men, Trios Men and Five-Man Team. 42nd 300-game for John Wells! European Pro Team player, John Wells, threw the 42nd perfect game of his young career during the PBA Experience League at Tolworth, in Surrey, U.K. with the new Wild Card™ ball from Brunswick. This latest 300-game was almost “overdue” after John scored 299 in the very same league and on the same pattern the week before, with the new Diamondback™ ball. Wells is the first person in the U.K. to shoot 300 in a PBA Experience League. 16-year-old Chad Rottier, rolled a perfect 300 game recently with his Siege ball, in the Hits & Misses Youth League at Lucky Strike Lanes, Malone, N.Y. He also set a Malone USBC youth association record for high game and series by a youth bowler, with games of 247 and 256 for a 803 series. Chad is averaging 223 in the league and will be competing in the Jr. Gold Championships this summer for a chance to bowl on Jr. Team USA. Chad’s Siege was professionally drilled by Scott McLaughlin. Brunswick Korea Brunkor amateur staff member, Choi Bok-yum, attained four gold medals (Men Singles, Trios, Team and Masters) out of five in the latest Korea National Sports Event held in Daejeon, South Korea. This is the highest unprecedented record ever in this annual event, and one of the largest tournaments for elite bowlers in Korea. Choi used the Siege, Wild Thing and Viz-a-Ball throughout the match. Metro Detroit Queens Winner Declared Congratulations Michelle Ewald, Clinton Township, Mich., for winning her second Metro Detroit USBC Association Queens title at Sunnybrook Lanes in Sterling Heights. Michelle used the C•(System) 2.5 by Brunswick and rolled a perfect game with it in the final game of qualifying. She also used the Wild Ride during the tournament. Using his new C•(System) 2.5, 15-year-old Eric Sacks of Vandalia, Ohio, recently shot his first 800 series in the Dayton City Youth Doubles Tournament at Poelking Woodman Lanes. Eric's three sets on the day were 793, 825, and 741. A 262 average for the nine games. Michael Wittendorf Records Back-to-Back 300 games with the C-System 2.5™! How do you top a perfect game? You throw another one right afterwards! That seems to be exactly what Michael Wittendorf thought after scoring incredible back-to-back 300-games at the recently held National Mix Double Championship in Denmark! Zara Giles reaches for Silver at the World Cup! Brunswick International Staff player, Zara Giles (Glover), knows how to come up big in big tournaments. After winning the bronze medal at the 2008 edition, Britain’s bowling “First Lady” earned the silver at this year’s World Cup in Malaysia. Zara was optimistic after her great performance in Malaysia: “After finishing 3rd in Mexico last year I went one step further and fell just short of the title. I have mastered the challenging lane conditions and I am happy to have shown such a consistent performance”. Brunswick staff member and former Team USA bowler, Fero Williams, recently won the WC Cleveland tournament in Atlanta Georgia, with a score of 214. Takiko Naganawa, Sunbridge Group Pro Staff member, scored the first perfect game during the televised finals of the 2009 Handa Cup Philanthropy Tournament recently held in Japan. For her achievement, Naganawa was presented with the Perfect Game Award by tournament sponsor, Sunbridge Group. Naganawa used the Brunswick Siege Defender and Power Zone during the tournament. Jay Futrell, Brunswick regional pro staff member from Derby, Kan., won his second PBA Regional in the past three events, using the new C•(System) 2.5. After winning just two weeks earlier in the MW/SW Region Barney's Open in Springfield, Miss., using a variety of his Brunswick arsenal, Jay used the C•(System) 2.5 almost exclusively in his latest win at the SW Region Denver Matchplay Open. Brunswick Senior regional staffer, Ross Packard, has been winning lately against young and old competition. After a runner-up finish in last summer's Senior Masters in Las Vegas, Ross recently claimed a win at the W/NW Region’s Senior Don Johnson Memorial Classic. If that were not enough, he decided to beat up on the young guns by winning the West Region Spalding G Wathen Memorial Open. Junior Team England Bowlers Win Staff Contract with Brunswick The top female and male junior bowlers from the United Kingdom recently competed in the NAYBC Masters to compete for the biggest prize ever awarded in UK junior bowling, a 12-month Brunswick staff contract. Congratulations to Kirsten MacGregor, Selby, for winning the female spot and Matt Fidgett, Norwich, for capturing the male title. Both players are part of the Junior Team England squad where bowlers will be selected to represent England in the European Championships. Congratulations from the Brunswick Team

Gery Verbruggen crowned “Prince de Liège”! Brunswick Regional Staff player, Gery Verbruggen, recently won the “Prince de Liège” Tournament. Gery kept a tournament average of 243,33 pins, including a high game of 280, good enough to hold off the strong competition. The Prince de Liège tournament, played in the Belgian city of Liège, is the first stop of the Belgian Super 6 Series. Mr. Jung Seo-Hak, Brunkor Pro Staff, recently became the first-ever three-time champion of the Korean PBA Brunswick Cup sponsored by Brunswick distributor, Brunkor. Sean Rash, Brunswick Pro Staff, won second in the Men’s Open Masters in the 42nd Singapore International Open. Sean shot a Singapore record-breaking 1,040 in four consecutive games in Masters qualifying round, using a Python, Avalanche and International series Power Zone.
