New Santikos Entertainment Complex Features 16 Lanes Of Bowling

For more than a century Santikos Theatres has provided movie lovers with the latest in cinema entertainment. Today, the family-owned San Antonio-based company offers movies and much more at its newest location, the Santikos Palladium AVX in Houston. Movie fans there can take in a film as well as a few frames of bowling as part of a full line-up of entertainment options.

“The new Palladium AVX is a magnificent new entertainment palace for all of Houston to enjoy,” explains marketing manager Chris Prichard. “The Palladium AVX brings back the grandeur of the movie palace and offers more entertainment choices and more technology choices than any other theatre in the country. Every auditorium features our premium AVX technology for the ultimate Audio Visual Experience and six of these will be massive 80 Foot AVX MAX screens, making seeing a movie at the Palladium AVX a one of a kind experience.”

The new Santikos Palladium AVX is unique and truly impressive according to Prichard, and the company is excited to add bowling to its entertainment mix.

“To couple a theatre with bowling makes sense, and it’s our mission to offer something for everyone from 2 to 102 years old,” Prichard said. “The Palladium’s ‘Olympic Lanes’ offers 16 lanes of bowling, four of which can be reserved for parties or private events. We’ve installed customized Brunswick AnvilaneTM synthetic lanes to resemble white granite for a very ancient Greek feel, as a nod to the founding family’s Greek heritage.”

The Houston Palladium AVX is an 180,000 square foot entertainment destination with 22 stadium style theatres featuring AVX projection, multiple cafes, bars, a “VIP” seating area with in-theatre dining, 16 lanes of bowling and much more. Prichard expects the massive 80 Foot wide AVX MAX auditoriums to become a top choice and entertainment destination for moviegoers who want to see the newest blockbuster films on some of the biggest movie screens in Texas.

“Our custom Anvilane technology is perfect for the Santikos Palladium,” said Jay Saladino, Brunswick Bowling director of new business development. “We helped create lanes ‘of stone’ in keeping with the grandness of the new center’s ancient Greek architectural concept. Working together, we created a top-of-the-line bowling experience integrating a beautiful design element.”
